Week 1 August Review

What an amazing week, especially for a short one.

Today continued the relatively boring action in the markets.

First trade went decent, minor profit.  I considered walking away then but didn't.

Got burned on the second trade, but the third paid off and made the day.

This closes out a great week.  Time to head to the family's house for a relaxing weekend.

What a horrifically boring day.

Only one trade, an advanced reversal short off of a heavy resistance area.

Unfortunately it didn't get legs and I got slipped fairly bad.

All well, I'll take my minor profits and fight another day.

Settled in a bit at the new house in Germany.  Absolutely love it.

Unfortunately all my stuff isn't here yet, so I only have one monitor, and the colors are screwed up on it.  So as of now I'm only really watching one instrument, oil.

Not a bad day, a few small losses, no big loss.  That's what's important.

Been able to catch a day here and there trading.

Today was a quick one and pretty good.

Two quick trades and 23 ticks.

This trade below was TEXTBOOK low risk-entry trade for me.  The price touched the yellow zone, then retested it at much lower volume and spread, forming a double top where I entered with a small stop of 7 ticks, and rode it down for a 15 tick winner.

Not a bad R:R for those trades.

I plan on coming back to some of the higher risk, higher reward trades that I used to do, but for now I'm working on refining this setup.

Out of the army

Well, the time has finally come, and I'm out of the army for good!  I'm now in the process of moving to Germany with my wife.  In the meantime trading will be pretty spotty.

I'm taking the next year off in order to focus on trading.
